Location
The Kiulu White Water Rafting site is about an hour and a half away from the city of Kota Kinabalu. The white
water rafting takes places at a beautiful lush green are with the Mount Kinabalu as the backdrop. With such
breath-taking views, this makes this place the second most beautiful village in the whole of Malaysia. The
Kiulu River is situated somewhere on the northwestern part of Sabah and is graded as Class I-II which means
the white water rafting is safe enough for children and also gentle enough for the elderly to try.
Overview
The white water rafting trip begins with a briefing session on safety during the activity. It will be conducted
by professional rafting guide who will show you the proper rafting techniques and correct handling of the rafting
equipment before the commencement of the rafting session. The entire excursion is for a length of 15 kilometers
which makes it the longest white water rafting trip in the whole of Borneo. The whole rafting journey will take
up to an hour and a half to two hours before you will finally reach at the end point where scrumptious barbecue
lunch will be served right at the side of the riverbank.
While enjoying your lunch, allow yourself to be mesmerized by the picturesque landscape of the surroundings.
This indeed is a great way to loosen up and relax with your family and friends. There are just so many things
to do and see in Sabah. It would be a terrible waste if you do not have ample time to visit them.
Accommodations in Sabah are plentiful. Thus you can choose to extend your stay if you feel that your stay here
is not adequate.
Transport
Usually, reservations are made that you will be picked up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and towards
Kiulu River which is situated in Tamparuli. The journey to Kiulu River from Kota Kinabalu takes about
two hours to reach.
